The equipment consists in a 5 kW air heater and auxiliary elements (blower, piping, valves and dampers) to allow the charge and discharge of small Thermal Energy Storage (TES) devices typically integrating granular packed bed fillings. Measurement and Control equipment (Flow Control, Type K Thermocouples) allows the performance evaluation and data acquisition of the real behavior of advanced Thermal Energy Storage concepts.
