Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is a technique used to obtain an infrared spectrum of absorption or emission of a solid, liquid or gas. The instrument FTIR, brand name Perkin Elmer model spectrum 3, can measure spectral spectral reflectance in the spectral range of 2000 to 20000 nm. From those measurements the thermal emittance at different temperature is calculated.
