TESTBED FOR OVERHEATING AND THERMAL CYCLING TESTS OF SOLAR RECEIVERS IN PARABOLIC-TROUGH COLLECTORS

The overheating test consists in submitting the receiver to a temperature of 100 K over the maximum operating temperature of the absorber for duration of 1.000 hours. The thermal cycling test consists in cyclically changing the absorber temperature of the receiver tube test over 100 cycles from 200 °C to 100 K over the maximum operating temperature of the absorber.
The new overheating and thermal cycling testbed at CENER has capacity for testing 6 tubes at the same time.
